Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster collaboration between independent and public schools in order to prepare motivated students from diverse socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds to excel in academically demanding high school programs. Citybridge also trains talented college and high school students and gives them first-hand experience in education and public service. For both students and teachers, Citybridge creates a structured environment with high academic and moral expectations to support the development of academic and leadership skills. Above all, Citybridge seeks to inspire a love of learning.

Description

Citybridge is a tuition-free program of summer and school-year academic enrichment. Twenty-five talented high school and college students teach 55 motivated rising eighth and ninth graders from Boston and Cambridge public schools. The Citybridge program values diversity, leadership, creativity, and academic excellence. Students and teachers share a love of learning, work hard, play hard, develop leadership skills, and have fun in the process.
