The Hero Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping comic book creators with emergency medical aid, financial support for life essentials, and an avenue back into employment.

Description

The Hero Initiative is dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for yesterday’s creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

Since its inception, The Hero Initiative has had the good fortune to grant over $1 million to the comics’ veterans who have paved the way for those in the industry today.

I’m a recipient of assistance from Hero Initative. I have a disabling disease that caused ongoing financial and health hardship. Hero Initiative has provided resources and assistance that quite literally kept me going. I wish I could do more to give back and support them in their work. I can’t recommend Hero Initiative enough!
