Description

Feline Friends is a foster-based, no kill, cat rescue organization serving Chicago.

We do not have a physical site - we are completely foster-based. To meet any of the cats our program, we arrange meetings between foster homes and potential adopters. Feline Friends is staffed 100% by volunteers, and is funded entirely by private donations. Feline Friends is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.

I have been a Feline Friends foster parent since the organization was established in 2009. Feline Friends rescues cats and kittens in the Chicagoland area, often from high-kill shelters. Over the past few years, my partner and I have have fostered nearly 30 cats and kittens, giving them a home (and lots of love) until they could be placed in forever homes. I have really enjoyed being able to care for these cats, meeting their potential adopters, and getting updates on them once they are in their new homes! Feline Friends works hard to find responsible pet owners...and the right fit between kitten/cat and adopter. If you love cats and want to help support animal rescue and welfare, I would definitely recommend working with Feline Friends. If you're not sure about fostering a cat, Feline Friends always needs other support: monetary donations, supplies (food, litter, carriers, etc) donations, and other opportunities to help.

Although I have not volunteered directly for this organization, I respect their efforts and as a cat and animal lover, can appreciate all of their hard work finding homes and giving care to homeless pets. If I wasn't out of the house for more than 12 hours a day I would be happy to share my home with a kitty as a foster companion. Please donate to Feline Friends so they can continue to operate this no-kill cat rescue organization.
