Mission Statement

Skyway House provides a safe, loving and structured environment for those seeking substance abuse treatment. Our goal is to open the door to a new way of life, bringing together individuals, families, and communities.

Description

Skyway House is a drug and alcohol treatment facility which offers Residential Treatment for Mothers with Children ages zero to five, Residential treatment for Men and Women, Adolescent Outpatient, Adult Outpatient and Drug and Alcohol Free Housing. Skyway House provides a hands-on learning environment, where volunteers work with the staff. Volunteers work with clients, facilitate groups and activities, document in files and transport clients to various appointments. Skyway House has facilities throughout Butte County, which makes it ideal for those who do not want to travel too far to their area of work. Skyway House also offers the opportunity for volunteers to familiarize themselves with outside agencies such as Butte County Behavioral Health, Yuba/Sutter Behavioral Health, Trinity County Behavioral Health, California State Parole, Childrenâ s Protective Services, The County Probation Departments, and the Judicial System, including Proposition 36 and Drug Court. Through this familiarization, volunteers are able to learn about networking with these corresponding agencies. Along with the rewarding volunteer experience, most colleges CSUC included offer Internship credits that will apply towards a variety of degrees. If you are interested in the Volunteer program, or an internship please contact the Skyway House Administration Offices at (530) 898-8326 or continue filling out this form. An appointment will be set for you to meet the Volunteer Coordinator for your interview. We look forward to working with you!
