Mission Statement

The mission of WARS is to fight the #1 killer of cats and dogs: EUTHANASIA!

W.A.R.S. promotes responsible guardianship of domestic animals and advocates for the compassionate treatment of all animals.

Description

How we intend on doing this:

  • To aggressively promote low-cost spay/neuter programs and eventually open our own clinic in order to reduce the population of unwanted, healthy adoptable animals being killed at area shelters.
  • Promote adoption and provide temporary care and housing for those animals lost, abandoned, abused or medically treatable until a permanent loving home can be obtained
  • To provide long-term sanctuary for the aged, infirm, and non-adoptable animals.
  • To participate in feral cat TNR Trap/Neuter/Return programs where appropriate.
