Mission Statement

The goal of Habitat of Isabella County is to eliminate sub-standard housing in our county. Out of our love for Christ we will reach this goal by providing safe, decent and affordable housing for low-income families in need.

Description

Habitat was founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller and is a nonprofit, all inclusive Christian housing ministry. Since 2010 over 400,00 houses (3,500 in Michigan) have been built around the world providing housing for more than 1.75 million people.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials Habitat builds and rehabilitates houses. Houses are not given away but sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans.

The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build more affordable, decent houses.
