The Marcena Lozano Donate Life Scholarship Fund

Description

The Marcena Lozano Donate Life Scholarship Fund awards college bound organ transplant patients. The fund was established in memory of Marcena Lozano, who herself had received two heart transplants during her twenty-five year lifetime. The 501 (c)(3) not for profit organization has awarded nearly $80,000 in scholarships to well deserving students over the past five years. While there are numerous scholarships awarded for academic and athletic prowess, ours is one of the few which recognize the courageous achievements of young transplant patients and support their desire for a meaningful future.
