Mission Statement

For over 40 years, New Horizons has provided specialized treatment and care to children and families in need through residential treatment, foster care, family preservation and counseling programs.

Description

Since our establishment in 1971, New Horizons has provided specialized treatment and care for children who have been victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. We offer residential treatment, emergency shelter, foster care, family preservation and counseling programs to children and families in need. Last year, New Horizons touched the lives of over 1,000 children and families from all over Texas.

New Horizons first opened as a residential treatment center just outside of Goldthwaite, TX, affectionately known as "The Ranch." The Ranch accommodates 56 children, boys and girls, ages 6 to 17, and specializes in behavioral and emotional issues with individualized, intensive inpatient treatment programs. Treatment lasts between 12 to 16 months.

The Audrey Grace House, a residential treatment center in Abilene, TX, was built in 2007. The Audrey Grace House currently cares for 22 kids, ages 6 through 17, and has already impacted over 70 kids in the year and a half it has been operating.
