Youth-For-REAL seeks to advance the intellectual, creative, social, and physical growth and development of youth and adults in the areas of community, careers, arts, and academics, by engaging them in relevant and empowering educational experiences and activities during after-school hours.

Description

Youth for REAL provides educational enrichment and support and creative arts and fitness activities to 250 South Bronx students grades K through 8.

I have never volunteered for an organization before, so my opinion is not an expert's opinion at all. But minutes ago I was sitting here contemplating to myself, and I began to think about things that made me happy in my childhood. I thought of Youth I remember back in elementary school, in P.S.33X; from 2004-2005, going to the after school program of Youth-For-Real. The trips to museums, to getting together with all of the Youth-For-REAL community, to the homework help. It was all so important to me in childhood. It gave me confidence to win a star. And now, as a young adult I think of how amazing a program this is and how much it had helped me; & how amazing it is that it is still around. Thank you youth for real. I'm down with youth for real baby!
