Mission Statement

The House Rabbit Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. Our mission has two parts: Through our fostering program, volunteers rescue abandoned rabbits and find permanent adoptive homes for them; through education, we seek to reduce the number of unwanted rabbits -- and to improve bunnies' lives -- by helping people better understand these often misunderstood companion animals.

Description

The heart of the SEPA-DE House Rabbit Society is its volunteers. Every week, several dedicated volunteers help make the shelter a better place through work crews at the shelter and/or working on other activities for the shelter. But more volunteers are needed to help with activities so we can assist not only those bunnies at the shelter but the hundreds more in need. All of our rabbits are spayed and neutered, litter trained, receive medical treatment and are socialized so that they can be the very best companions.
