Mission Statement

The primary goal is to raise money for the Rosewood Community and help with key neighborhood projects like improving parks and greenways (areas that encourage foot and bike traffic). Also, money raised from the festival will be donated to local charities to be determined by the Rosewood Merchant Association.

Our secondary goal is to showcase Rosewood, a reviatalized neighborhood that is livable, lovable and marketable. We want residents from all over Columbia, the Midlands and South Carolina to experience our great community and to spend a day celebrating Rosewood with us.

The Greater Rosewood Merchants Association is gearing up to bring some of the infamous Creole cuisine to the Midlands onSaturday, May 5, 2012 at the 7th annual Rosewood Crawfish Festival! From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., lovers of all things Creole and Cajun are invited to adorn Rosewood Drive and take part in one of the city’s favorite celebrations, featuring over 7,000 pounds of fresh Louisiana grown crawfish. We will have live music (featuring popular national act Gin Blossoms and local legend John Wesley Satterfield) as well as fun activities for the whole family!
