Mission Statement

The ARK provides hope and relief for families living with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders, since 1996.

Our goal is to preserve dignity, respect individual self worth, and help people with memory problems continue to be a part of their community.

Description

The ARK is a nonprofit offering a range of services to families dealing with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia in the SC Lowcountry. Services include respite care, caregiver consultation and support groups, community education, corporate support, community development and more.

Over 75% of our participants attend on scholarship, so we depend on our volunteers and on fundraisers. With the number of families affected by Alzheimer's is expected to explode, our services are needed more than ever.
