Mission Statement

The mission of the VNA/Hospice of Monroe County is to provide high quality, cost effective health and supportive services to the home and/or community setting. It is our intention to provide these services to the people of our community regardless of their ability to pay.

Description

Hospice is a special kind of care for dying people, their families and their caregivers that treats the physical needs of patients and their emotional and spiritual needs. Treatment concentrates on making patients as free of pain and as comfortable as they want to be so they can make the most of the time that remains to them. Helping and supporting family members in an essential part of our mission. VNA/Hospice of Monroe County also provides bereavement support services, including a day camp called Camp Hope and Saturday workshops for children who have experienced a loss.
