Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide free instruction to adults with low English literacy skills.

Description

The Adult Reading Center, a nearly 30 year-old volunteer-based literacy provider, offers FREE adult basic education (ABE), English as a Second Language (ESL), citizenship classes, and computer instruction to anyone 18 years or older. Instruction is provided by classroom, small group, and one-on-one tutoring utilizing a phonics-based curriculum. Self-paced educational software is available for those students desiring to pursue additional reinforcement of classroom instruction.
