Mission Statement
The Tri County Humane Society is a no-kill organization. Once an animal is rescued by Tri County, it is saved for life. We will not release an animal to another organization that has a policy of euthanasia. In addition, we will only place animals with qualified prospective owners.
Description
Since Tri County took over the (the Lullis Ritter) animal shelter in July 2001, we have had thousands of adoptions. Some of these animals had been in cages for months, but now they have a chance with a family and a loving home. Our ongoing fund raising helps to meet our animals’ needs with the best possible vet care and nutrition. Most of all, due to the efforts of our many volunteers, these dogs and cats receive lots of love and affection until they are adopted.

The Tri County is a no-kill shelter. The group of volunteers is great. The shelter is clean and they save thousands of animals a year. I have been a volunteer there since 1997. You can become a dog walker, help with the cat room, become a TCHS greeter, help at the events, foster dogs and cats, help at the Thrift Store, and more.
