Mission Statement

The mission of Habitat for Humanity of the Kokomo Community is based on the Biblical imperative of love for others, justice, and concern for the needy.

Description

Habitat works toward hope and dignity for all in need and the elimination of poverty housing from the earth.

We achieve our mission one home at a time as we partner with families in need, and individuals and organizations in our community. Together we build houses using volunteer labor and the monetary and in-kind donations of the community. The houses are sold to partner families through a no-profit, no-interest mortgage. It is not a "hand-out", but a "hand-up".
