The Compassion Center

Mission Statement

The Compassion Center is a small all-volunteer nonprofit which operates with very few funds and no salaried staff. Our primary focus at this time is to pick up, sort and then distribute, free of charge fresh fruits and perishable produce to young mothers and seniors of low-income, as well as to the many who are unemployed in our area.

The National Institute of Health confirms substantial research that indicates the vital role of fresh foods in maintaining health and preventing degenerative diseases. The Center's volunteers strive to bring fresh, healthful foods to those who might otherwise not be able to afford these.
