Mission Statement
The mission of the American Falls District Library is to serve as a center for learning literacy for people of all ages, cultures, and interests within the district bounds. It provides free access to information for both general and specific needs as well as access to divergent viewpoints. The library will provide current high demand, high interest materials for all ages, and reference materials to support individual, business, government, and community interests. Special emphasis is placed on encouraging children to develop an interest in reading.
Description
Public libraries in Idaho seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
