NOAH's Friends

Description

NOAH's Friends supports the hospital patients by raising funds, increasing public awareness, advocating on behalf of children with mental illness, and volunteering services. NOAH is a Louisiana state-operated psychiatric hospital for children and teens ages 6 to 17. Most of NOAH's clientele is poor and un- or under-insured. Some of the projects sponsored by NOAH's Friends include the Horticulture Therapy and Greenhouse Program, the Patient Library, Operation Happy Child, the Clothing Room, the Play Therapy Program, the Adolescent Level Room, and the Patient and Family Mental Health Resource Center.
