To utilize our land, facilities and programs to build caring confident youth and future leaders, and to foster the community’s direct relationship with the natural environment.
Camp Ketcha is a year round non-profit organization serving the southern Maine community with programs in youth development, family enrichment and summer day camping. Our 107 acres of meadows, forests, streams and wetlands are essential to our mission. We strive to get children, youth and families outdoors to appreciate what nature has to offer.
We began operations in Scarborough, Maine in 1964. Camp Ketcha will serve approximately 3,000 youths and adults through camp programs, contracts with schools and institutions, and corporate team-building programs this year. Camp Ketcha’s programs focus on creativity, self-discovery, experiential education, physical activity and environmental education. Participants learn new skills, build greater self-awareness and participate actively in program leadership and decision-making.Our high quality year round programming is embodied by our core values:
-Stewardship of our land and community
-Diversity
-Community
