Mission Statement

Samaveshais a Bay Area-based multi-disciplinary performing arts and music organization dedicated to creating accessible, interactive, educational, and fully immersive artistic experiences for the public. Often taking place in nature sites and bridging traditional and contemporary art forms from around the world, Samavesha’s work fosters dialogue and builds community around art, environment, spirituality, music, as well as cultural preservation and evolution.

Focused on building community through creative collective actions, Samavesha produces three big annual projects: the Cave Concert series in the Marin Headlands; the Art in Nature/Nature of Art Festival in Redwood Regional Park, Oakland; and the Create-With-Nature Earth Day Celebration at Stinson Beach in collaboration with Zach Pine. In addition, Samavesha hosts international artists-in-residence, and produces a Community Program, Rose Labyrinth Concert & Workshop Series, Fertile Art Conversation series, workshops, as well as house concerts and site-specific performances in addition to nurturing years-long relationships of support with artists.

Description

By being a part of our Crew Members is to be part of our events, to stay close to the artists, the organizers and the directors. Volunteering for Samavesha is an artistic experience in itself. Our event Crew are part of the performance and are seen as integral to the success of the experience for the artists and the audience alike. You’ll also have the opportunity to create lasting relationships with high-caliber international artists.

We hope to have you among our Crew members and create together accessible and vibrant opportunity for worldwide artists and communities.
