Mission Statement

The Mission Historical Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving objects and archival materials related to the history of Mission, TX and the surrounding area. MHM uses these materials to educate and inspire the public to enjoy history through innovative exhibits, programming, and outreach opportunities.

Description

The Mission Historical Museum consists of two buildings containing over 2800 square feet of exhibit space, including two rotating exhibit galleries and a hands-on history center, as well as offices and storage. The City of Mission, TX provides four full-time and three part-time staff members to handle daily operations of the museum, but the Mission Historical Museum relies heavily on volunteers for busy times of year and special programs and projects.
