Mission Statement

The Morris Area Freewheelers Foundation envisions a time when safe bicycling is a fully integrated part of our country’s transportation, recreation and fitness efforts.

In order to accomplish our goals, the Foundation organizes fund-raising and educational events and activities to:

  1. educate drivers and cyclists about bicycle safety
  2. advance awareness about the role of cycling in community fitness and recreation
  3. benefit local first responders on whom bicyclists depend in an emergency
  4. lessen the burdens of government in drawing attention to the bicycling and learning opportunities available in our area’s national, state and county parks

Description

The Morris Area Freewheelers Foundation (MAFF) is an all-volunteer group working to educate cyclists and motorists alike about their responsibilities through event rides, bike clinics, cooperative projects with local police departments and emergency squads, and other educational programs. MAFF is the charitable foundation extension of the Morris Area Freewheelers Bicycle Club, one of NJ’s largest.
