Mission Statement

Since 1950, the Muscular Dystrophy Association has provided the most comprehensive services program of any voluntary health agency. MDA funds clinics, support groups, durable medical equipment, summer camp and over 400 research projects worldwide. MDA is a voluntary health organization spanning the United States and Puerto Rico, serving those affected with one of 43 neuromuscular diseases. All of MDA's funding comes from voluntary private donations raised throughout the year, with no assistance from government or United Way funding. MDA is currently rated one of the most effecient national voluntary health agencies in the world. To maintain that status we rely on volunteers not only in donating funds but assisting with fundraising events. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the MDA, and are the driving force behind our success.

Description

There are many different aspects to our events including but not limited to database maintenance, coordinating event materials, assisting at events (golf outings, walks, Telethon and Summer Camp).
