To empower persons with disabilities, to maximize their independence within the community, and to remove barriers which prevent integration and equal opportunity.

Description

We are an organization founded by and for people with disabilities. We believe that people with disabilities have the right to make informed decisions about how and where they want to live. To that end, The IC provides a variety of services aimed at empowering people with disabilities to maintain their independence within the community. Our primary services include Peer Support, Advocacy, Independent Living Skills Training, and Information and Referrals. The IC serves Cheyenne, El Paso, Elbert, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Park and Teller counties.
