Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Im-Paws-Able Dog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit, no kill, dog rescue. Our mission is to locate and rescue homeless and abandoned animals, spay, neuter, provide medical care, and place them in a network of foster homes to enable them to learn the skills that a well-trained pet has, which increases their adoptability.
We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
Im-Paws-Able Dog Rescue also actively assists other rescues in both placement of unwanted dogs and training/assessments and advice relating to dogs.
Many folks think that people help animals, but WE believe that it is truly the DOGS who can positively impact our lives - and the lives of others - and actively work towards that goal! Our rescue utilizes a network of foster homes, just like the homes that the dogs will, eventually live in, to house them while they prepare for their new lives. Im-Paws-Able doggies come from highkill shelters, owner surrenders, other rescue groups and strays.
When a dog is placed in a foster home, our volunteers love and socialize it, train it in basic obedience and take care of its medical needs, including spaying or neutering. Our foster parents are instumental in placing the dogs in their furever homes, since they know the dog better than anyone! Im-Paws-Able volunteers actively educate the community in the importance of spaying/neutering, responsible pet ownership, positive behavioral training and good nutrition.
We also offer educational and training programs, in our communities, to increase the human-animal bond.
At Im-Paws-Able, we believe sharing our love of dogs is the most important thing we can do to stop the needless suffering of abused and neglected dogs. We support other rescue organizations whenever possible, to ensure that everyone can share the benefits that dog ownership can offer!
