Mission Statement

The mission of Sierra Valley Even Start Family Literacy Program is to help break the cycle of poverty and illiteracy by improving the educational opportunities of low-income families.

Description

Through the integration of four core components (Adult Basic Education, Early Childhood Development, Parenting Education, and P.A.C.T. - Parent And Child Together), Sierra Valley Even Start provides free educational opportunities, including computer technology skills, to those families within the community looking to improve their literacy levels in order to procure citizenship, GED, better jobs, and/or life skills. Currently, we serve a 100% Hispanic population.
