Mission Statement

A.P.E.’s mission is to assist humane organizations in central Iowa with trap-neuter-return (TNR) and spay-and-neuter projects, as well as educate the public on humane training and proper nutrition for their pet. Our goal is to see Iowa become a No-kill State by 2020. With our focus on spaying and neutering of all mixed-breed pets, we believe this goal can be attained.

We also help humane organizations place unwanted animals, accidental litters, and adoptable animals whose time has run out in local animal facilities into good, "forever" homes.
