Mission Statement

The mission of NAMI Orange County, is to provide emotional support, education, resources and advocacy for individuals and their families affected by mental illness. In collaboration with the entire community, we advocate for a life of quality and dignity, one without discrimination, for all those persons living with mental illness.

Description

NAMI Orange County, affiliated with NAMI California and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), provides services free to the public. Services include a variety of evidence based educational programs for family members, with both adult and school age children affected by a mental illness, recovery education classes for individuals living with a mental illness, outreach and education to both the professional and general community. Numerous facillitator led support groups for family members and individuals living with mental illness are offered thoughout the county as well.

We have a dependent son who is mentally ill and have received considerable support from NAMI.
