Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Since Friends of Roos-N-More, is an institution, which houses and maintains a varied collection of live animals, the primary purpose must be to provide humane, professional care and management of those animals in keeping with the highest available standards, including those accepted by the Zoological Association of America, and such care will remain a long term commitment by this institution to each individual animal and to the species each represents.
The three main goals of the Friends of Roos-N-More are, therefore:
1. To promote, effect and assist conservation efforts, especially for animal species of the world.
2. To provide, for everyone, an inviting, congenial and educational zoo environment in which they may see, enjoy and learn about some of the world and about conservation endeavors which we support.
3. To establish a program to provide therapy to autistic, physically and mentally challenged children through hands on interaction with animals.
The zoo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that offers visitors an ed-zoo-cational experience. We believe in conservation through education and hope that the up-close and personal encounters with our animal ambassadors will inspire people to help save their wild counterparts. We are accredited by the Zoological Association of America and are dedicated to making sure our animals are as happy and healthy as they can possibly be. We are a Veterinarian owned and operated facility
