Mission Statement

The mission of the Rockbridge Area Information Line (RAIL) is to establish and operate a non-profit, information clearinghouse, run primarily by volunteers, to develop and maintain an information data base of community resources and activities available to residents of Buena Vista, Lexington and Rockbridge County. This information will be accessible to the public through various media.

Description

The Rockbridge Area Information Line is an information clearinghouse for the Rockbridge County, VA area. Information is stored in an on-line data base for use by citizens to find services and activities that they need or desire. RAIL will also operate a volunteer clearinghouse for the county area. RAIL is partnered with the local library system which serves as the point of contact for telephonic requests.
