Mission Statement

Rockaway Waterfront Alliance (RWA) is a community based organization dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding and respect for the environment. RWA uses the wetlands and dunes of the Rockaway Beach Peninsula to teach schoolchildren and members of the local community to become stewards of their waterfront in order to support local initiatives that advocate for and achieve an ecologically healthy waterfront, inland parks, and better-maintained beaches and improve the overall health and quality of life for all residents of Rockaways neighborhoods and other New York City citizens.
