Mission Statement

A volunteer program comprised of retired scientists and engineers, ReSET's mission is to motivate children to discover and explore the worlds of science, math and technology, and to encourage them to consider future careers iin one of these exciting fields.

Description

ReSET is a nonprofit, educational community service organization that supports youth and families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Our purpose is to improve science and math literacy among underserved elementary school students, our target population. Volunteers are retired science professionals who participate in 6-week programs that run in the fall and spring. Volunteers teach children hands-on science activities and take them on a related field trip at the end of the 6 weeks.
