Mission Statement

Sister to Sister strives to provide an opportunity for girls to strengthen their voices and create positive change in their communities.

Description

Sister to Sister is an an all-day summit sponsored by the American Association of University Women and the Women's Equity Foundation which explores issues girls identify as adversely affecting their lives and learning. It brings together 75-100 girls in grades 7-12 from all three school systems within Blount County. Topics for the discussion groups are chosen by the girls. They then brainstorm and create and action plan which they share with their communities.
