Mission Statement

Equine-Assisted Therapy, Inc has but one purpose; that is to provide horsemanship experiences to persons with mental, physical, and psychological disabilities in order to enhance the quality and productivity of their lives.

Description

At EAT, we use the motion and warmth of the horse to provide therapeutic benefits in a physical form and the presence of the horse to provide them in a mental and emotional form. Volunteers are absolutely vital to our program, as they not only provide safety to the rider (who often doesn't have the balance required to ride alone safely) but are an extension of the riding instructor during lessons.
