Getting kids outdoors, active, hooked on fishing and educated about the importance of our natural resources.

Description

Family and Youth Casting Call is a 5 year old kids fishing event in DC that is now under CCA of Maryland management. This event will reach over 200 DC and MD school kids in a one day free fishing and outdoor education event on the Firday April 20th. The second day, Saturday April 21st, offers free fishing and educational activitiess to the general public. Educational activities include the National Park Service Junior Ranger program, National Fishing in Schools casting lessons and other activities.

They are a great organization and Family and Youth Casting call is a great event. Always a fun group of volunteers doing great work getting kids outside and participating in the outdoors. They also provide breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt.
