Mission Statement

The Orange County Americorps Alliance is designed to provide quality afterschool programming to youth in Orange County by improving students in grades K-9 academically, physically, and socially.

Description

Placement sites such as Boys and Girls Club, YMCA, Campfire USA, etc. are looking for older adults (55+) to volunteer at their after-school programs in the Orange County area. Volunteer descriptions are as follows: tutor, bilingual translator (Spanish and Vietnamese), physical activity instructor, intergenerational mentor, health educator, arts and crafts instructor, specialty instructor (music, sewing, chess, etc.), computer and internet helper, etc.
