Overview: The Donor Management Volunteer supports the backbone of Extra-Ordinary Birthdays’ giving program by keeping our donor records accurate and updated, acknowledging gifts, and generating monthly reports. Your attention to detail ensures our supporters feel appreciated and stay engaged with our mission. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update donor database (Excel or CRM) Ensure all donations are logged accurately (date, amount, purpose) Send out donor acknowledgements and thank-you emails/letters Generate segmented monthly donor reports (e.g., new donors, lapsed, recurring) Flag opportunities for donor re-engagement or upgrades Maintain confidentiality and respect donor data Qualifications: Strong organizational and data entry skills Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) Detail-oriented and dependable Experience with donor databases (helpful but not required) Discretion with sensitive donor information Impact: Your work helps strengthen our relationships with generous supporters, sustain our funding, and build a stronger community for the children and families we serve.

Extra-Ordinary Birthdays, a nonprofit based in College Park, MD, is looking for two enthusiastic and responsible Live Event Social Media Volunteers to help capture the joy of our personalized birthday celebrations for children experiencing homelessness throughout the DMV. What You’ll Do: Attend EOB birthday parties and events in the DC Metro area Post live content on Snapchat, Instagram Stories, and Twitter/X Capture the magic and mission of each celebration through engaging, respectful, and joyful storytelling Occasionally contribute photos or short videos for monthly digital communications You’re a great fit if you: Are 18+ and live in the DC Metro area Are highly skilled with Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter (or X) Can interact with families experiencing homelessness with empathy, discretion, and professionalism Have experience (or interest) in public relations, nonprofit storytelling, or community outreach Can pass a background check and commit to periodic weekend events This is an incredible way to use your voice and creativity to shine a light on the power of belonging and celebration for children who need it most. Reports To: Executive Director Time Commitment: 4-6 hours/month (flexible) Location: Remote or hybrid (with occasional in-person events if local) Overview: The Development Fundraiser Volunteer plays a vital role in supporting Extra-Ordinary Birthdays’ mission by helping identify, cultivate, and solicit new funding opportunities from individuals, foundations, and corporations. This volunteer helps expand our reach and deepen our impact by fueling the resources needed to celebrate homeless children with personalized birthday experiences. Key Responsibilities: Research potential individual, corporate, or foundation donors Support development of sponsorship packages and grant materials Help identify and pitch opportunities for new funding (events, campaigns, etc.) Collaborate on donor-facing materials (letters, proposals, social media blurbs) Assist with follow-up and stewardship communications Participate in monthly development check-ins Qualifications: Experience or interest in fundraising, sales, grant writing, or marketing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Passionate about EOB’s mission and equity for children experiencing homelessness Impact: Your efforts help ensure we have the funding to bring joy, dignity, and celebration to children and families navigating homelessness - one birthday at a time.
