Mission Statement

For each employee to treat every patient as their own treasured loved one, providing care that affords a quality of life that outweighs quantity of days, and supports caregivers as their hearts find healing.

Hospice is the only health care system that mandates the involvement of volunteers. This reflects the history of the hospice movement in the United States, which started as an all-volunteer system.

Hospice is designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support in the final phase of a terminal illness. At Grace Hospice, we focus on enhancing the quality of life and our volunteers play a key role in our mission. The hospice philosophy reaches beyond the physical needs of a patient and ensures that a patient spend their final days in comfort and with dignity.

Grace Hospice volunteers are as diverse as our professional staff. Compassion and caring are the hallmarks of any great hospice volunteer, and their involvement are a vital part of our team.

It is a great opportunity that doesn't take a lot to do, and I feel as though it is a great way to show care for the patients.

I am a state tested Nurses Aide. I have always wanted to volunteer for Hospice and I want to give back to the community. I recently retired. Yes I would recommend this organization to others. I would like to be of spiritual support for someone and their family. You could also call it spiritual companion. Janet Schindler
