Mission Statement

ReLEAF UTAH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to develop community based tree and forest stewardship, through effective partnerships, meaningful projects and informative outreach.

Description

Our goal is to plant, protect and preserve trees through education, advocacy and action.

We educate people, young and old, about the best tree care and planting practices based on science.

We advocate for trees, past, present and future, to build beautiful communities.

We work with schools, service groups, church groups, businesses and government agencies across Utah to improve the lives of trees. We have planted over 2,000 seedlings, planted and maintained trees in local parks, and helped restore the 150 trees in the pioneer apple orchard at Wasatch Mountain State Park.

Why Trees Matter

We live, work and play in a region graced with beautiful native and landscape trees. Trees make great neighbors. We want to be great neighbors right back.

Trees produce multiple health benefits.
Trees make oxygen.
Trees clean air, water and soil.
Trees lessen noise pollution.
Trees slow storm water runoff.
Trees shade and cool us.
Trees serve as windbreaks.
Trees store carbon.
Trees fight soil erosion.
Tree reduce energy costs.
Trees increase retail sales.
Trees increase property values.
