Mission Statement

Guided by a strong belief in the integrity and dignity of homeless women and their children, BARN is committed to providing these families with transitional housing and access to supportive services to promote healing, growth and self-sufficiency.

Description

BARN provides transitional housing and intensive case management services to homeless mothers and their children.

The families focus on budgeting, life-skills, continued education, employment, parenting and overcoming the traumas that lead to homelessness.

BARN, through grants, also provides financial assistance that allow the families to be rapid rehoused into permanent housing so they can move from homelessness into self-sufficient sooner. Families have the availability to continue receiving BARN's resources.
