To provide children with disabilities an opportunity to participate in our unique horseback riding program.

  • To improve the physical condition of our participants through strength, relaxation, mobility, balance, and coordination.
  • To improve the quality of life of our participants through increased self-confidence.
  • To increase socialization and interpersonal relationships using our horses, while providing an enjoyable recreational experience.

Description

The Staten Island Recreational Association is an PATH Intl. center member who provideds children with disabilities a recreational and therapeutic horseback riding program. With the unique combination of children and horses, our programs are able to achieve therapeutic goals in an atmosphere that is all about fun.
