The Mission of Spencer County Hospice is to provide high quality physical, social, spiritual, and emotional care for terminally ill people and thier families that promote comfort, enhances quality of life, and meet the unique needs of each client/family throughout the process of illness, death, and bereavement.

Description

Spencer County Hospice offers care to those deemed terminally ill with a life expectancy of 6 months or less. Our services cover skilled nursing, personal care, medical social worker, spiritual counseling, respite, volunteer services and bereavement. We go into our patients home and offer the care required to keep them comfortable including but not limited to medications, equipment, PT/OT/ST therapies, Dietary counseling, homemakers and companions. All care is under the supervision of your own chosen physician as well as our Medical Director.

The goal of the entire hospice staff is to help the terminally ill individual live out the remainder of their life as comfortably as possible, neither hastening or postponing death.
