Description
Since 1972, the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) has provided arts education to thousands of children and adults in the Washington region, especially from the greater Capitol Hill area. About 20,000 people come through the doors each year for classes, performances, lectures, rehearsals, and exhibits. CHAW connects diverse segments of the population through the transforming power of creativity. With 7 full-time staff members and 45 part-time faculty members, CHAW fulfills its mission of building community through the arts in three ways: Education Programs, Outreach Programs, and Community Partnerships.
