Mission Statement

The mission of PTV is to alleviate the suffering and health consequences of state sponsored torture. PTV achieves this mission by providing medical, psychological, and case management services to survivors in the L.A. area at no cost.

Description

The Program for Torture Victims (PTV), the nation's first torture survivor treatment center, rebuilds the lives of torture survivors from more than 70 countries who have stood up for freedom, equality and human dignity. PTV has healed the wounds of thousands of survivors through medical, mental health, legal, case management, peer support, and advocacy programs. We empower survivors to reenter society, reclaim their identities, and advocate toward a world without torture.
