The mission of the State of Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program is to advocate for the best interest of children who are alleged to be abused, neglected or abandoned and who are involved in court proceedings. Best interests include preservation of the child's physical safety and emotional well-being; permanent placement in a stable and nurturing home environment that fosters the child's healthy growth and development; and protection form futher harm during the child's envolvement in the court system.
Guardians Ad Litem are apppointed to cases by the program to be the "eyes and ears" of the court as well as the "voice" for a child in court. They investigate allegations of abuse, abandonment and neglect; and make recommendations to the court in behalf of what they feel is in a child's best interest. Guardians visit the child once a month and gather information so they can learn what the child's needs and issues are.
It's Important that people need to look at each others and start to realize that kids is the hope of enrichment of happiness- Happiness which is to believed to kids and not us because we need kids to be the upholstery of their dreams. It's very important to know what our kids needs in order to have their meaningful life they always wanted- not sadness.

Even if you observe what is going on in a home once a monthyou still don't know exactly what is taking place. I think a child should be observed at school without their knowledge. You need to be aware of signs children show when they have been abused, not getting the proper care, food and other things that should be provided for them. Teachers, welfare workers and other people who come in contact with them need to be more observant. Because there are to many children who are slipping through the cracks and becoming unproductive people through shear neglect on everybodies part. It is a real sin. We need more volunteers who can spend time with these children. Gain their trust and find 0ut what is really going on and try to get them help. Or our Society is going to be in real trouble
