Mission Statement

Our mission:

- Raising awareness, funds and volunteer power for the cause to
end Violence Against Women (VAW) using the power of the internet
and new technologies.

- Advocating and advancing a gender-blind approach to gender-based violence by getting both men and boys on board the cause to work hand-in-hand with women and girls to stop Violence Against Women.

- Generating conversation by tearing down taboos and creating safe online spaces to generate discussion about violence against women amongst both men and women

-  Challenging expectations and inspiring activism by getting the global community emotionally engaged and actively involved with the cause using social media, humour, pop culture and other channels.

Description

The Pixel Project is a volunteer-led and completely virtual 501(c)3 nonprofit organisation whose mission is to raise awareness, funds and volunteer power for the cause to end violence against women through innovative, powerful viral campaigns across various online and virtual channels including social media.

We are a virtual global coalition of grassroots activists and volunteers using the power of the internet to mount a global effort to raise awareness about and hopefully mobilise millions to get involved with ending violence against girls and women. We strongly believe that men and women must take a stand together for the right of women to live a life free of gender-based violence.

Our team of me n, women and youth from all walks of life is currently scattered across 4 continents, 12 timezones and over 10 cities worldwide, proving that there are no cultural or social barriers when it comes to this issue.
