Mission Statement

Our mission is to show love by addressing the needs of adolescents ages 11-21 that are in high-risk situations. LOM will provides guidance,emergency housing,
life-skills and leadership training, spiritual edification and educational
services to indiviudals who live in high-risk environments marked by high crime rates, poverty, low-performing schools and escalating rates of HIV/AIDS. It is our belief that a restored individual creates a strong family. A strong family creates a stronger community. A
Stronger community creates a better world.

Description

Volunteers of Lean On Me will help plan and assist with fundraising and working outreach events for the organization. Each volunteer
will undergo training of at least 20 hours of training about the organizations
programs.

Outreach events:

Teach and educate participants on teen dating violence,
HIV/AIDS, STDS, and teen pregnancy prevention. The forums consist on mentoring,
tutoring, and character building at-risk youth.

Fundraising:

Lean on Me’s goal is to have at least four fundraising events that will fund programs and outreach events. Volunteers will also assist
with cold-calling and campaigning to get corporate and local sponsors. Lean on Me volunteers will also assist with marketing the organization via "Face Book" and "Twitter."
