The Visitors Center is the greeting point for visitors to our Historic Landmark. The staff greets and registers guests, establishes tours for them, discusses the history of the Mill, explains membership and volunteer opportunities. Additionally handles transactions for purchases of items in the Center using our register system. Essentially the first face if the Mill. During the Season from the 2nd Saturday in April to 2nd Saturday in December the shifts are typically: Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Collections Committee manages the information about the objects which are integral to the history of The Mill. The objects are reviewed and a narrative history and photopraphic record prepared and uploaded into Mill at Anselma - CatalogIt HUB for history buffs and the general public globally to review and better undertand the uniqueness of The Mill.

This is a multifaceted opportunity. Marketing -- Developing for Marketing Plan to promote this National Historic Landmark. Develop a strategic plan and define tactical milestones. Public Relations -- prepare print media, broadcast media, as well as social media material and post/distribute same. This role may be virtual as well as in person.

PURPOSE OF OUTSIDE EVENT COORDINATOR The operating budget for the Mill is supported from the license and event fees collected from outside individuals and organizations that wish to conduct private events on the mill grounds which may include access to selected mill buildings. The coordinator is the focal point for monitoring inquires, providing information about the mill facilities, meeting with potential clients and negotiating terms and conditions. Outside events may include weddings, private parties, business meetings - all events benefiting from our mill history and rustic setting. While not responsible for internal mill activities/events, the coordinator maybe called upon to provide assistance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENT OF THE OUTSIDE EVENT COORDINATOR - Be a permanent member of the Mill at Anselma Strategic Management Committee participating in weekly meetings and reporting. - Receive and respond to outside inquires for possible use of the mill property and facilities. Inquires may be in the form of voicemails, emails letters and in person contacts. - Be familiar with supporting documents such as fee schedules, facility license agreement and past vendor lists. Obtain Trustee signature on formal contractual agreements. - Be available to meet with clients on site to present our facilities and to give examples of similar events held at the mill. - Respond to client questions. - Coordinate with Strategic and volunteer cadre to ensure that staff is available to assist event activities to include early vendor access to the property and coverage of actual events. Address any last minute issues and to ensure the safety of guests and mill property.
