Acting on the principle that learning is a joy, the Children’s Museum of Phoenix’s mission is to engage the minds, muscles and imaginations of children and the grown-ups who care about them.
The Children's Museum of Phoenix is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that features hands-on, interactive exhibits designed for children ages birth to 10. The Museum focuses on learning through play, with emphasis on early childhood education and school-readiness. The Museum’s vision is to foster a joy of learning by providing engaging projects, exhibits, and programming for young children and their families while serving as a gateway to other cultural institutions and community programs.
We offer a variety of fun, flexible, engaging volunteer opportunities for individuals as young as 14 years old and groups that are great for team building.
*Please Note: The Children's Museum of Phoenix does not accept individuals seeking court-ordered service hours.
I absolutely loved volunteering with the Children's Museum of Phoenix! It was so much fun and I got to meet a lot of interesting people. It was a lot of fun working with the kids in the art room where I was placed, being able to teach a child to do something and then watching them complete the task was so nice! I liked it so much I volunteered for another event coming up with them!
I had the best time volunteering for the Children's Museum! I worked with them for the weekend of Phoenix Comic-Con and they were nice enough to give me a free pass to the event. I had such a great time. To any young (and old) volunteers, I would definitely recommend working with the Museum.
